Japanese New Year Inspired Pattern, “Mizuhiki” Knot

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you all are having a great start!

I have been busy drawing and working on my website, so I have been away from making patterns.

I thought this might be an excellent way to get back in to make more patterns.

When I think about the Japanese new year, Mizuhiki decoration is one of them that I think of.

Mizuhiki is s a type of knot, and there are so many ways to tie.
There are on gifts, house doors, chopstick sleeves, money bags, and more! It’s a symbol of affection or togetherness.

I would not go deep into this, but I want to tell you all that I just wanted to celebrate the new year with you all!
