Great Layering Piece, Butterick 4989 View C

I am finally catching up sharing my makes.

This is another one that I made in November.
The weather in Georgia is so crazy to me. I always tell people that there is not spring and fall. LOL
I probably feel that way because I am from Japan, where there are four seasons. I enjoy each season and dressing accordingly.

The weather in Georgia was especially weird last fall.
It was SO WARM. I didn’t want to dress like Summertime just because it was warm.
I wanted to dress like fall, so this is what I came up with.

At least, print is like fall or holiday-ish, so  I was OK.

I didn’t have enough fabric to cut the back piece on the fold, so I cut two pieces.
Can you see the seam? I don’t. I did pretty good, didn’t I?
Whenever I need to match stripes and prints, I use HeatnBond SoftStretch Lite Iron-On Adhesive HERE.

By the way, what is your sewing plan and goal for 2021?
I am a bit behind, but I am working on it. Hopefully, I can share it soon.

Stay safe and happy stitching!

Meg,
